Drau Oasis

The Drau Oasis is both exciting to explore, as well as relaxing & grounding. Enjoy fun & games, leisure and relaxation at the Drau Oasis at this safe access point to the Drau river. 

This access point allows other parts of the Drau river banks to be conserved and protected. This conservation effort allows us to protect our treasured nature, wildlife, as well as benefit the future generation.

The centre of relaxation at the Drau Oasis is our large treehouse. The treehouse is not only exciting for all children, it is also an observation deck overlooking the lush and thriving nature at the banks of the Drau. The treehouse was planned by the LIFE-project "Upper Drau Vitality Line" and is a popular highlight, especially for all kids. 

The treehouse is close to the camping site, bike path, residential areas, and other leisure activities; making the location easily accessible to ensure conservation of the Drau banks. The site is used as an access point for adventures on the flowing water of the Drau, such as rafting, canoeing, and gentle Plätten-boat rides (traditional delivery boats). The Drau Oasis additionally offers a barbecue area for you to enjoy your meal right amidst nature. To ensure safe access for boats, the area provides a safe path to the water's edge.

At the Drau Oasis guests can enjoy the play- and swimming bay at the river, a lush sunbathing lawn, a barbecue area, an impressive treehouse offering fantastic views, as well as interesting facts ready to be read on the banisters. Rest and relax in the treehouse bench while watching the river gently flow. In case there are any unexpected raindrops, the treehouse can even offer some shelter!

The observation deck of the treehouse has two access ways: wooden steps or the climbing tower.
