The village of Dellach was described for the first time in 1267 - already with a small church, which got today's baroque design in the 18th century.
Parts of the altar room, the tower and some frescos come from the early chapel. Some of the paintings date back to the late 15th century. Others are works by the famous painter Christoph Brandstätter (1829) from Kötschach. Today´s altar piece was made by Michael Angatter from South Tirol in 1847.
